AOC says Republicans are rigging the election.  snopes says that's inaccurate.

Mamdani says he's protecting protestors by vetoing buffer zone around educational institutions.  That means children going in and out of Jewish schools are likely to be unable to go home without being harassed and parents are unlikely to be able to pick them up without being harassed..  Mamdani gave other reasons as well that were ridiculous.

He is removing protection.  City council had voted for buffer zones.  one of the votes was not vetoable because it had too many votes but the one he could veto he did.
