Because Western Muslim women don't protest on behalf of their oppressed Muslim sisters
Because many Western Muslim women defend Islam
Because many Western women don't know how much Muslim women are oppressed
Because some Western women think they are just as oppressed as Muslim women
Because some Western women have it so much better than Muslim women that they are afraid their complaints won't be taken seriously.
Because Western women are afraid that criticizing Islam might get Muslims angry
Because religious freedom is very important including the right to oppress women.
