9.57 The Chinese War Against Israel
China is connected to organizations such as Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER) and the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) that incite hatred of Israel. Nate Friedman said:
“They use anti-Zionism as a springboard for socialism and ‘downfall of American imperialism.’ They make protests about the end of Israel, genocide in Gaza, but you go to their hub and it’s all books about the success of socialism, classes about socialism.”
In September 2025, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Beijing, along with Qatar, of funding a “media blockade” against the Jewish state. According to a report released by the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), an Israeli think tank, China has increasingly used state media and covert campaigns to spread anti-Israel and antisemitic narratives in the United States. The report examined how China’s state media portrays Israel and the United States as solely responsible for the war in Gaza, depicting them as destabilizing actors while spreading anti-Israel and antisemitic messages. “It is evident that China and its proxies play a significant role in the current wave of antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment in the United States,” Ofir Dayan, a research associate in the Israel-China Policy Center at INSS, wrote in the report. In February, the Jewish People Policy Institute (JPPI) published a new report showing how China has embraced overt antisemitic messaging in its domestic propaganda in recent years. The study tied the move to both geopolitical rivalry with the United States and efforts to curry favor with Arab and Muslim countries hostile to Israel.
Mr. Kinsella wrote a book explaining the explosion of antisemitism after the massacres of Israelis on October 7. He explained that in this global eruption of Jew- and Israel-hatred, the campaign manager was Iran, Qatar was the banker, China and Russia acted as campaign co-chairs, Hamas and Hezb’allah were on the front lines, and also that “the alphabet soup of NGOs (non-governmental organizations), nonprofits, and charities pushing these hateful messages were ready to move ... while October 7 was happening ... which was either a hell of a coincidence, or they knew in advance what was going to happen.” This is among hundreds of facts that he documents scrupulously in his new book, The Hidden Hand: The Information War and the Rise of Antisemitic Propaganda.
