One big reason that Mamdani was elected was that he promised a rent freeze.
The average ignorant New Yorker blames rising rents on landlords being
greedy without realizing that the government is being greedy by
raising taxes on landlords who have to raise their rents to pay their taxes.
This video shows just how bad those taxes are.
In addition inflation due to reckless government spending during the Biden
presidency increases the costs for landlords who then have to pass those
costs on to tenants. One reason for high rents is the high demand for
an inadequate supply of housing but that housing shortage is created by
government price controls that prevent builders from building more homes.
If the government didn't interfere high demand for homes would lead to
builders building more homes. Rent freezes in a market with a low
supply of houses results in wealthy people who would have been able to
afford a home in NYC, not able to get one because there aren't enough
available. It results of a redistribution of homes in NYC from the
wealthy to the middle class and poor. Rent freezes don't increase the
supply of homes they just change who lives in those homes. In fact
they make less money available to landlords to maintain homes and builder to
build new homes which results in fewer available homes.
Hate crimes against Jews has increased while Mamdani is mayor. Mamdani
makes speeches about how Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and how Prime
Minister of Netanyahu should be arrested. Netanyahu in a speech in the
United Nations said that Mamdani was an antisemite who was making Jews feel
unsafe in New York. In order to prove that wasn't the case Mamdani
announced a 30 million dollar initiative to fight antisemitism.
However he gave the
funding to anti-Israel groups.

proposal for the funding “reaches back eight years to highlight right-wing
terrorist attacks in other cities, while failing to discuss, or even
mention, a single anti-Jewish incident that occurred in New York in the past
three years.”

Remember that exciting Mamdani plan to ‘fight antisemitism’ that the
media hyped for a week? Somehow it keeps getting worse.
It was bad enough when it turned out that a
whole bunch of the money was going into a black box called ‘Partners
Against the Hate; that could output to an Islamic group that celebrated
the Oct 7 atrocities by Muslim terrorists.
The antisemitism plan allocated the funds like this
• Supporting the physical security of vulnerable nonprofit
organizations, including synagogues and other houses of worship — $1
million.
• Doubling funding for Partners Against the Hate grants to
community-based organizations aligned to the prevention framework
with a renewed focus on countering online hate speech, data
collection, restorative justice and survivor support — $6.4 million.
Journalists have noted that ‘Partners Against the Hate’ has no clear
beneficiaries but was launched with a group run by Mamdani’s Islamist
political godmother, Linda Sarsour.
The city’s “historic” plan to stop hate crimes will include increased
funding for Partners Against the Hate, an initiative launched in 2021
with six leading advocacy groups, Mamdani’s office said Tuesday. One of
them is Arab American Association of New York, or AAANY, which had
Palestinian firebrand and Mamdani supporter Linda Sarsour as its leader
for over a decade.
The AAANY also backed a “Flood Brooklyn for Palestine” protest days
after Oct. 7. The demonstration quickly devolved into a riot, with
activists shutting down roads, setting fires in the street, and
yelling and throwing eggs at police officers.
Al-Aqsa Flood was the Hamas name for the attacks of Oct 7.
Meanwhile, David Kelsey found that AAANY appears
to be outputting money to CAIR, an Islamist group listed as an
unindicted co-conspirator in terror funding, whose leader also
celebrated the Oct 7 attacks… and whose PAC was a major source of
funding for… Zohran Mamdani.
AAANY’s 2025 Form 990, Schedule I, is where it lists grants over

The Council on American-Islamic Relations’ super PAC, Unity and
Justice Fund, “quietly” funded anti-Israel New York state
representative Zohran Mamdani in his effort to become New York City
mayor to the tune of $100,000, The
Washington Free Beacon reported, citing campaign records.
The $25,000 contribution on May 30 and the $75,000 gift on June 16
went to New Yorkers for Lower Costs, the largest PAC supporting
Mamdani, per the Free Beacon.
So the pipeline starts with Mamdani promising to fight antisemitism,
goes through two Islamist groups and ends with an Islamist group that
funded Mamdani.
This kind of political money laundering isn’t unusual, but using money
meant to fight antisemitism to potentially promote groups that celebrate
the murder of Israel is a whole new level of evil.
Rabbi Shmuley Boteach and his son, who serves in the IDF, were attacked with
curses and verbal abuse by pro-Palestinian demonstrators in Times Square
while watching the New York Knicks' victory. The rabbi documented the
confrontation and posted it on social media: "It is becoming impossible to
be Jewish in Mamdani's New York."
A bigwig on Mayor-elect
Zohran Mamdani’s transition team spewed hatred against Jews and Israel
and questioned gay rights in a series of hateful social media posts from a
decade ago. Hassaan Chaudhary, who identifies himself as newly appointed
political director for Mamdani’s transition and inaugural committee on
LinkedIn, used the word “Jew” as a slur, and even praised former Iranian
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who infamously said Israel is “a cancer which
will be eliminated soon.”
Socialist New York City mayor-elect Zohran
Mamdani has appointed Tamika Mallory, an ex-Women’s March organizer who
resigned over allegations of antisemitism, to his transition team.
An investigation found that Altaheri allegedly destroyed evidence by wiping
his city phone, drove his city vehicle while intoxicated, misused his police
lights to run red lights, and at one point even handed a loaded gun to a
civilian volunteer, allegedly instructing the volunteer to point it at
someone’s head….
Mamdani’s transition team stands out for the sheer number of members who
hate Jews. That includes Hassaan Chaudhary, a fellow Indian Muslim who
headed up Muslim outreach for Mamdani, who
had praised Iranian dictator Ahmadinejad for his call to eliminate
Israel, and used “Jew” as an insult. Also on the Mamdani transition team is
ousted Women’s March leader Tamika Mallory, who had celebrated Farrakhan,
and accused Jews of being behind slavery.
Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has picked a controversial rapper who did seven
years in state prison for armed robbery to advise him on the criminal
justice system, The Post has learned.
Mysonne Linen, 49, a Bronx
convict-turned-activist who was found guilty of two felony heists in the
late 1990s, was appointed by the democratic socialist to sit on his mayoral
transition’s “criminal legal system” committee — just one of many
questionable picks.
“This is a testament to our decades of work
advocating on behalf of black and brown communities and our expertise in gun
violence prevention, legislative advocacy and criminal justice reform,”
Linen boasted on Instagram last month after the position was announced. “We
are building something different.”
Traditionally, experts in criminal justice, policing and safety are people
who are opposed to criminals. Not people whose experience is of supporting
criminals or actually being criminals. Take the appointment of Lumumba
Bandele to serve on the soon-to-be mayor’s “Committee on Community
Organizing.” As well as being a black nationalist, Bandele has spent his
career supporting people who have killed cops in New York and New Jersey.
That’s nice news for all the NYPD
officers who put their lives on the line every day in this city...
The state’s 2019
rent-law changes made it impossible for landlords to raise rents when other
costs go up — like utilities, insurance and labor — and prevents building owners
from recouping the costs of unit rehabilitation after tenants move out..
Democrats won control of the Legislature in late 2018 and started swinging for
the left-field fences: That’s when they rushed through all those disastrous
“criminal justice reforms,” too. ..
Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s vision for the future of housing offers little
hope for improvement: He vows to “freeze the rent” for all rent-regulated
tenants, even as so many landlords operate with paper-thin margins at best.
The mayor-elect loudly cheers the “decommodification of housing,” meaning that
the housing market shouldn’t be a source of profit for anyone — though NYCHA,
the nation’s largest public housing authority, shows exactly what a
de-commodified system looks like: endlessly deferred maintenance that’s yielded
a repairs
backlog running $85 billion.
Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has tapped a
controversial lawyer who defended an al Qaeda terrorist and a radical
anti-Israel campus leader at Columbia for a “high-ranking” position at City
Hall, The Post has learned.
Her biggest claim to fame dates back to her days as California’s labor secretary
— when she oversaw up
to $40 billion in unemployment checks sent to fraudsters.
There are a number of very strange things
that Mamdani is doing like tapping an ex con for advise on the criminal justice

bizarre statements. He may want to make manhattan Islamic. Wanting
to defund the police is bizarre. Could a Cloward Piven strategy be at work

Roughly 80 of the 400 people named to
staff Mamdani’s 17 transition committees “have a documented history of making or
sharing anti-Zionist or anti-Israel statements,” the report found. A handful
were also found to have ties to the Nation of Islam or its antisemitic leader
Louis Farrakhan, including Jacques Léandre, a member of the transition’s
Committee on Legal Affairs, the ADL said.
The revealing report came less than a
week after
Mamdani’s director of appointments, Catherine Almonte Da Costa, was forced
to resign when decade-old antisemitic and anti-police remarks she made on social
media resurfaced — including rants about “money hungry Jews” and defunding NYPD
“piggies.”
Elon Musk called out NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s appointment of Lillian
Bonsignore as the FDNY’s next commissioner, warning it could have deadly
consequences because the former EMS chief lacks operational firefighting
experience. “People will die because of this,” the Tesla and SpaceX
founder predicted on X Friday night, responding to a post with a video clip
highlighting that Bonsignore has never fought fires. “Proven experience matters
when lives are at stake,” he added.
Mamdani’s unit is being leased off-market — a practice that has exploded since
the city’s new Fairness in Apartment Rental Expenses (FARE) Act went into effect
in June. The controversial broker-fee ban — which Mamdani himself lobbied for as
a state Assemblyman — sent prices through the roof as
the fee became baked into rents. Since the FARE Act, new listings on the
Real Estate Board of New York’s Residential Listing Service collapsed 77% as an
increasing number of brokers kept exclusive listings “off market” as a way to
bypass the ban, an analysis by real estate firm UrbanDigs found. Together with
the 2019 rent reforms that resulted in a number of landlords finding it more
financially viable to leave rent-stabilized units vacant rather than rent
them, it has put supply at an all-time low, and rents at an all-time high.
Mamdani picked Cea Weaver to run his Office to Protect Tenants: She’s a proud
radical who has called
for the city to force private landlords out of business so it can seize
their buildings; that’s partly why she praises his rent-freeze plans as likely
to “deepen the crises” in the housing marketplace.
She’s spent years advocating
unabashed Marxism: “Elect more Communists,” ran a
tweet from December 2017; “Seize private property,” another in June
2018. Just before the New Year, Mamdani chose Kamar Samuels as schools
chancellor. On top of wanting
to end Gifted & Talented programs, Samuels is so obsessed with racial
re-engineering of the school system that he’s won praise from far-left “1619
Project” chief Nikole Hannah-Jones.
If actions speak louder than words, then Mayor Zohran Mamdani gave New Yorkers
an earful by smirkingly revoking
nine of his predecessor’s executive orders, a third of them touching on
antisemitism. That’s a funny way to describe a condemnation of Jew-hatred:
One order tossed in the dustbin was a “working definition” of antisemitism that
condemns “hatred toward Jews” directed against Jews, non-Jews and “Jewish
community institutions and religious facilities.” Lefties don’t like this
definition — formulated by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance —
because they say it can be interpreted as including
anti-Zionist agitation as antisemitic, though it doesn’t even say Israel.
Most ominously, Mamdani revoked an order instructing the NYPD to “evaluate”
conditions for protests outside houses of worship. Mayor Eric Adams issued this
order following an ugly demonstration outside a Manhattan
synagogue in November, when screaming protesters were permitted to directly
confront worshippers, contrary to established police practice.
Kathy wants Mamdani supporters many of whom are Muslim to vote for her in the
next election so in January 2026 during Muslim heritage month she ordered New
York landmarks lit with Islamic green lights. Shockingly she ordered the
new World Trade Center lit green when it was Muslims who destroyed the old World
Trade Center towers including the thousands of New Yorkers who worked in those
towers.

Cea Weaver, Mamdani’s new director of the city Office to Protect Tenants,
made the statements and urged her followers to elect more Communists in several
lecturing posts on her now-deleted X account that were unearthed by internet
sleuths. “Seize private property!” she said on June 13, 2018. “Private property
including any kind of ESPECIALLY homeownership is a weapon of white supremacy,” she
said.
Zohran Mamdani’s
new housing tsar called for the white middle class to be “impoverished” in a
series of resurfaced posts on social media. Cea Weaver, who was appointed by the
New York mayor as director of the office to protect tenants, previously said
home ownership was a “weapon of white supremacy” in the posts on X.
Mamdani also stood by tenant advocate Weaver after
her social media comments mired his administration in controversy within
days of kicking off in January — with her past tweets including stances such as,
“The Police Are Just People The State Sanctions To Murder W[ith] Immunity.”
Another of her tweets read, “Private property including any kind of ESPECIALLY
homeownership is a weapon of white supremacy.” She also called on people to
“elect more communists” to carry out her radical agenda.
The encampment is situated on Jamaica Avenue near 98th Street in Woodhaven
below a rusted steel trestle once used by the Long Island Rail Road...
“The homeless turned it into their own apartment, and the police can’t do
anything because Mamdani is okay with homeless encampments,” said Carmela
Isabella, who grew up in Woodhaven and lives a few blocks away. “A lot of kids
have to walk by there every day on their way home from school. It is
terrible.”... “This has become an eyesore,” said Frank Castelli, chairman
of Woodhaven Business Improvement District. “If you are going to go shopping on
Jamaica Avenue, who’s going to want to pass by that? This is about quality of
life.” ..Mamdani’s soft solutions for dealing with homelessness are having
repercussions in other parts of the Big Apple with residents reporting expanding
encampments — and new one’s popping up.
Last weekend saw at
least 10 New Yorkers die in the cold, and temps remain glacial now. Yet the
mayor’s sticking by his order to cops and other city workers to leave
encampments alone last weekend and not force the homeless to come in out of
the deadly cold. The idea is that the city should respect the autonomy of these
(highly dysfunctional) individuals — which sure sounds like an obsessive care
for “rugged individualism” to us.
The No. 1 job of a mayor, above everything else, is to keep his or her
city functioning. Yet with people dying on the cold streets of New York and
trash building up in parts of the city, New York is by no means functioning. Not
even close. The snow and frigid temps have tested Gotham’s socialist
Mayor Zohran Mamdani and, alas, he has not risen to the occasion. Rather,
he’s left the city a mess. Everest-sized mountains of garbage have popped up.
Unremoved snow, ice and road salt have damaged Con Edison electrical equipment,
contributing to outages. Most horrifically, 16
people have died on the street — 13 from hypothermia.
Dozens of families are illegally living in dilapidated trailers in the shadow
of CitiField — draining off water from fire hydrants and swiping electricity
while running black-market auto-repair shops. The unsightly gypsy-like
encampment underneath the Whitestone Expressway, populated largely by
Spanish-speaking migrants, has become a nightmare for residents and merchants
along a stretch of Queens in the shadow of the New York Mets home field — and
yet the city has done nothing, locals told The Post... “The whole area is
bad,” said a man who claimed he lived in an RV in Marina Park for eight months.
“Real dangerous. Especially at night, real dangerous. Who the f–k is calling the
cops? “They settle things with machetes around here,” he said.

Iman Dakmak-Rakka, principal of the Al-Iman School, affiliated with the Al-Khoei
Center, and a representative of the Al-Khoei Foundation, thanked Mamdani for his
work on behalf of “all of humanity and all the residents of New York.” During
the following prayer service, the imam prayed that Allah make them among those
who await the Mahdi and are martyred before him, adding that through the hands
of the Mahdi “comes the relief for the believers and the killing of the infidels
by your sword.”
Many Black, middle-class NYC property owners say they’d be among the biggest
victims of the Democratic Socialists of America’s proposed tax hikes. Some told
The Post the DSA’s Marxist measures — which include higher taxes for individuals
making over $300,000, and taxing inheritances over $250,000 — would hurt New
Yorkers like themselves who spent decades building up retirement accounts,
paying off homes, and planning their estates to benefit their loved ones “The
reason you invest is to acquire wealth with the hopes of putting it towards your
legacy, for your family — and this will greatly affect my family,” said
mother-of-three Lorraine Smith-Singleton, 77, of Jamaica, Queens.
Muslims, shouting "Allahu Akbar" threw a
bomb at a rally that luckily didn't go off. Mamdani instead of saying
they were Muslims called the leader of the rally, Jake Lang, a white
supremacist. Lang's protest was called, called “Stop the Islamic Takeover
of New York City, Stop New York City Public Muslim Prayer."
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has officially broken his fast for the
Islamic holiday Ramadan, and it is very telling who he chose to break it with.
The Islamunist mayor catered a Ramadan dinner on Monday for Muslim prisoners at
Rikers Island, where they send the worst of the worst offenders. He then vowed
to get them released or at least transferred and to shut down the iconic
prison...
Mamdani called the dinner at the notorious jail “one of the most meaningful
evenings” he’s had as mayor. It was one of the highlights… another was having
dinner with Hamas supporter, Mahmoud
Khalil, a Columbia anti-Israel activist who has previously been marked for
deportation. He also celebrated the Muslim religious
holiday of Iftar by having his staff and invitees, including one flashing
the ISIS signal, sit on the floor of City Hall. .
Mystery novelist Daniel Friedman, who according to his bio on Macmillan
Publishers’ website, lives in New York City, noted, “You have to be an absolute
monster to be sent to Rikers Island these days.” “Offenders on Rikers all have
long histories of doing things so horrible that even the woke, pro-crime judges
and prosecutors in NYC don’t want to be responsible for what they’ll do if they
let them go,” Friedman added. Moshe Hill, a long-time Long Island resident and
candidate for the Nassau County legislature, agreed with Friedman. “Criminals in
prison are just ‘New Yorkers in custody,’ according to Mamdani. Why are they in
custody? You don’t go to Rikers Island for nothing!” Hill quipped. “Mayor likes
to hang out with the people who victimize us. F—ing ridiculous,” Newsmax’s Rob
Schmitt posted on X. Meanwhile, Emmy-Award winning producer and columnist
Daniella Greenbaum Davis made her own post, asking the New York City mayor if he
had also visited the victims of the inmates he was meeting with. “Visiting
people in jail is admirable but just wondering if you’ve also visited their
victims / the families of their victims?” she questioned.
Because he wants to shield them from ICE, motorized bikers can now speed as fast
as they want yet face only a civil ticket... It isn’t breaking news that
traffic lights and human
life mean nothing to e-bikers. I watch them zoom up First Avenue, and
sometimes down the one-way uptown avenue, from the safe perch of my 16th-floor

Zohran Mamdani’s intern Hadeeqa Arzoo Malik reveals that electing him was all
