7.10 What Happened When Brave Adults Spoke Up?
In 1917 Evergreen State College in the state of Washington instituted a policy asking whites to stay off campus for a day and attend an indoctrination session on race issues. Only blacks would come to campus on that day. Bret Weinstein, a biology professor at the college objected to this policy saying that telling white people not to come to campus was an act of racial segregation.
We can understand why he said that if we substitute the word black for white. If blacks were told not to come to campus people would consider that racist segregation and rightfully so.
This was apparently beyond the mental capacity of Evergreen students to understand, so they accused Professor Weinstein of being a racist. Jordan Peterson is a Canadian professor who objected to the Canadian government dictating to him what pronouns he should use in referring to people. Left wing enemies of free speech attacked him as well as you can see in the video below.

People became very angry after Paul Rossi asked questions of the facilitator. Why do you think that is? Why would people be angry at someone for asking questions? The people who became angry wanted students to believe without questioning and Paul Rossi's questions led to more people questioning and not believing.
