4.19 The Disastrous Consequences of Green Hysteria
For at least the last 20 years, politicians in Washington, at the behest of green energy groups, have spent some $100 billion of taxpayer money to fight climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Despite that Global Carbon Dioxide Emissions Reached a Record High in 2022 and are still increasing. Tony Heller talks about that in the video below.
Tucker Carlson talks about countries that went green and what happened to them in the video below.
Mr. Carlson mentioned that farmers need electricity. They need electricity to pump the water that irrigates their crops. They may need electricity to refrigerate the food they want to sell and stores need it for that reason. Also people need electricity to keep food from spoiling in their homes. Tucker Carlson said NGOs pushed Ghana to switch to organic agriculture. One of the things that means is that the farmers would not use synthetic fertilizers or not use any fertilizers. Making synthetic fertilizers requires the use of fossil fuels.
Nigel Paul Farage is a British broadcaster and was an important politician in England. He speaks below about how stupid green policies are creating a disaster for England. When he says red on the inside he means Marxist which means communist. Marxists see capitalism as evil and want to replace it with communism.
Andrew Bolt is a political commentator in Australia who speaks below about how green policies are hurting Australia and Tasmania.
In 2026 the temperature in NYC went over 100 and Mayor Mamdani asked people to turn up their thermostats to 78 degrees Farenheit in order to use less electricity. He did that because there was danger of blackouts. That danger increased because of tighter ozone-emission rules that began taking effect in 2023, and forced about a dozen of the city’s smaller power plants to close. When it's over 100 degrees it's more important than ever to have electricity. Mamdani has fiercely defended that 2019 climate law at every turn, even as the negative consequences have piled up. According to the New York Post:
Assemblyman Mamdani was among the most extreme voices pressing energy policy even further in the wrong direction, particularly when it came to the actual generation of electricity. He fiercely opposed allowing private companies to upgrade their power plants — something that could have reduced greenhouse emissions and trimmed electricity costs, if Albany hadn’t blocked the way. Instead, the air in New York City is dirtier, electricity prices are higher and the grid is more fragile because of green policies Mamdani himself championed.
Before Trump was elected companies were leaving America and with them American jobs. When Donald Trump was elected in 2016 he reversed the downward trend in the economy and brought back companies to America. When Biden became president one of the first things he did was stop the Keystone pipeline which cost many jobs. He set emission standards for federal government purchases of cars so that the government would have to buy electric cars. The governor of California, Gavin Newsom banned the sale of new gas-engine vehicles by 2035 and shortly after the governors of Massachusetts and New York did as well. President Biden promised that there would be many new green jobs to replace the jobslost at the Keystone pipeline and that making electric vehicles would bring new jobs to the United States. Instead companies started to move out again. The Jeep company announced right before Christmans of 2022 that it was closing its plant in Belividere Illinois because of the rising cost of electrical vehicle production. The company said instead they would produce the vehicles in their plant in Toluca Mexico. The labor costs are lower in Mexico. There is a simple economic lesson here, if you pass laws madating the production of cheap products with the production of expensive replacements you will lose jobs. This nightmare before Christmas is discussed below.Green policies are destroying our economy. That is what we really have to be afraid of.
A searing heat wave was pushing California’s electric grid to the brink of blacking out earlier this month when, in a frantic bid to keep the lights on, officials implored electric car owners to wait a few hours before plugging in their vehicles. That request from the California Independent System Operator came just days after state regulators approved a plan to ban sales of new gas cars in 2035.
Tucker Carlson concludes in the following video that the problem to fear is global cooling and not global warming. Why does he say that?In February 2025, the New York Post reported about a NYC landlord who switched to dirtier heating oil because of soaring Con Ed gas bill. Residential-building owner John Norton blamed New York’s “green” mandates, which he said are forcing customers such as himself to abandon natural gas by making it more expensive. This is a great example of how the greenies ruin the environment. When you make things super expensive people can't afford the expense of cleaner energy. I remember witnessing that in India where people couldn't afford the cleaner rickshaws for transportation. I remember crossing a bridge out of the city of Anand and looking back and seeing a dome of pollution over the city. New Delhi has the dubious distinction of the most polluted city in the world for the same reason. You can see a picture of the pollution at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9025Q_GSWkc

But won' t there be climate disaster if nitrous oxide from fertilizer heats our planet?
