10.42 The End of the Boy Scouts
The Boy Scouts used to just be for boys and the girl scouts used to just be for girls. Homosexuals used to be excluded from the Boy Scouts. Why not include homosexuals in the boy scouts? Including homosexuals led to sexual assault by homosexuals on other boys in the boy scouts. In 2020 the Boy Scouts filed for bankruptcy. Gay Boy Scouts started assaulting other boys. That led to lots of lawsuits, more than 92,000 or them which is why the Boy Scouts went bankrupt. Why not include boys in the girl scouts? The Girl scouts refuse to do so unless the boys identify as girls. The Girl scouts used to be exclusively for girls. Now it includes boys who claim they are girls.
The reason given by the Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania for excluding boys is that "Girl Scouts provides a space just for girls, in which they are free to explore their interests and take the lead without the distractions or pressures that can be found in a coed environment." If that's true for girls why isn't it true for boys? Why shouldn't boys have a space just for boys? Also if boys who identify as girls are allowed into the Girl Scouts do girls still have a space just for them? Many girls participating in sports in schools and colleges don't feel safe now that their space has been invaded by trans girls in their locker rooms and on their teams. The Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania say that girls should be able to take the lead but trans girls take the lead in sports because they are stronger.
The Boy Scouts has been recreated as Scouting BSA. BSA means Boy Scouts of America. This is part now of an organization called Scouting America. Why did they change their name? How are they different than they were? Heather MacDonald talks about this below.
The Boy Scouts used to be exclusively for boys but has been accepting girls and trans people for a while now. In order to become an eagle scout you have to earn a diversity and inclusion merit badge. The New York post writer wrote (May 22 2024): "Whatever happened to woodcraft, soapbox derbies and roasting marshmallows over a campfire?"
