9.425 Heroines of October 7
In the video below Israeli soldiers mention an APV. An APV is an armor protected vehicle. Hamas had a lot of RPGs which is short for rocket propelled grenade, which one man can carry and which can destroy APVs and tanks. Soldiers in the video also mention the Philadelphi Corridor which is located on the border between Egypt and Gaza. Gaza is in yellow in the map below and Egypt is dark brown and the Philadelphi corridor is where the two colors meet. A lot of weapons were smuggled to Hamas from Egypt into Gaza across the Philadelphi corridor. Soldiers mention Kibbutz Sufa and Holit which was an adjacent kibbutz. You can see that Sufa is next to the border of Gaza on the map below. Sufa used to be a kibbutz in the Sinai desert. Sufa means sandstorm. The Israelis moved it outside of the Sinai desert when Israel gave up the Sinai desert to Egypt in return for a peace agreement. Sadly that did not bring peace to the new Sufa on October 7. In addition Egypt is violating the peace agreement for which Sufa was moved by moving tanks into the Sinai desert (I wrote this paragraph in 2025).
