9.44 Zionism
There is a lot of hatred of Zionism and Jews all over the world. Historically there was a lot of hatred from Christians who believed that the Jews were responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus. Although that plays a role in some of the current hatred many of those who instigate this hatred do it because of hatred of America because they view Israel as a colonialist ally of America. This hatred is also instigated by a large percentage of Muslims many of whom hate the Jews who they believe killed Muhammad. These Muslims are taught from childhood that the Jews are evil and that the Jews stole their land. They fire rockets at Israel, they commit terrorist attacks including suicide attacks in Israeli schools, cafes and buses They store their weapons and fire them from mosques schools, homes and hospitals. Then when the Israelis shoot back they show pictures or videos to the world and tell heart wrenching stories of a mother or child who was killed by a bomb dropped by those evil Israelis, Israelis who endanger their own soldiers to protect Muslim civilians. These Muslims will tell the international press stories of so called Israeli cruelty and often the press repeats it as if it is true without confirming it. The Muslims who are trying to destroy Israel are making war on two fronts, war with missiles and guns and war with propaganda. There are many pages on this site that address this propaganda and that expose the lies but how do you know that I am not lying? How do you know who is telling the truth and who isn't? There are several ways to determine that, some of which are discussed in an article titled "Truth or Propaganda" that appeared in an online magazine called Logos. One way to determine what is true is to ask oneself who commits more terror around the world that has nothing to do with the Middle East. If, for example, Jews attack innocent Christians in Nigeria and innocent Hindus in India and innocent Christians in Iraq and other religious and ethnic groups in other countries and Muslims do not, that would suggest that the Jews are also responsible for violence in the Middle East. When we use this approach to finding who is to blame for the conflict in the Middle East we find that it is the Muslims, not the Jews who are engaged in violent conflicts with other groups all over the world. The Religion of Peace web site lists the atrocities of the week committed by Muslims and many have nothing to do with Israel. The most persecuted group in the world is not the Muslims, it is the Jews who are persecuted by Muslims and often by non-Muslims. Many westerners rationalize that Muslim persecution of Jews is resistance against oppression and Muslim propagandists want them to believe this because it makes them look like heroic freedom fighters instead of as the terrorists they are. Muhammad, the prophet of Islam said "I have been made victorious by terror" and many Muslims follow his example. To test whether the Jews are oppressing Muslims statement is truth or propaganda we can look at whether Jews or Muslims oppress other groups. If we have knowledge of history we would know that Muslim killed over 400 million Hindus. We'd know that Muslims enslaved Europeans, Africans and Americans. We'd know about the rape gangs in Britain and Islamic violence against the infidel all over the world, We'd know how Muslims are starving hundreds of thousands of children in Somalia.
In the video below you can see an example of Muslims indoctrinating children in Australia to hate Israel. You also hear about intimidation of college students and preventing of pro-Israel voices from speaking. These Muslims don't want people to know the truth about the Middle East. They have been very successful in indoctrinating ignorant Westerners and children to hate Israel and to think Islam is good.
The more hatred there is of Jews in the world the more necessary a state where Jews can protect itself is. In the following video, Sophia Khalifa, an Israeli Muslim points that out.
Albert Einstein who was against nationalism and believed in universal humanism was for Zionist nationalism. He explained why in the following letter to the German minister Dr. Hellpach in about 1929.
Dear Dr.Mr.Hellpach,
I have read your article on Zionism and the Zurich Congress and feel, as a
strong devotee of the Zionist idea, that I must answer you, even if only
shortly.
The Jews are a community bound together by ties of blood and tradition, and not
of religion only: the attitude of the rest of the world toward them is
sufficient proof of this. When I , came to Germany fifteen years ago I
discovered for the first time that I was a Jew, and I owe this discovery more to
Gentiles than Jews.
The tragedy of the Jews is that they are people of a definite historical type,
who lack the support of a community to keep them together. The result is a want
of solid foundations in the individual which amounts in its extremer forms to
moral instability. I realized that salvation was only possible for the race if
every Jew in the world should become attached to a living society to which he as
an individual might rejoice to belong and which might enable him to bear the
hatred and the humiliations that he has to put up with from the rest of the
world.
I saw worthy Jews basely caricatured, and the sight made my heart bleed. I saw
how schools, comic papers, and innumerable other forces of the Gentile majority
undermined the confidence even of the best of my fellow-Jews, and felt that this
could not be allowed to continue.
Then I realized that only a common enterprise dear to the heart of Jews all over
the world could restore this people to health. It was a great
achievement of Herzl's to have realized and proclaimed at the
top of his voice that, the traditional attitude of the Jews being what it was,
the establishment of a national home or, more accurately, a center in Palestine,
was a suitable object on which to concentrate our efforts.
All this you call nationalism, and there is something in the accusation. But a communal purpose without which we can neither live nor die in this hostile world can always be called by that ugly name. In any case it is a nationalism whose aim is not power but dignity and health. If we did not have to live among intolerant, narrow-minded, and violent people, I should be the first to throw over all nationalism in favor of universal humanity.
The objection that we Jews cannot be proper citizens of the German state, for example, if we want to be a "nation," is based on a misunderstanding of the nature of the state which springs from the intolerance of national majorities. Against that intolerance we shall never be safe, whether we call ourselves a people (or nation) or not.
I have put all this with brutal frankness for the sake of brevity, but I know from your writings that you are a man who stands to the sense, not the form.
Einstein realized that in the case of Zionism, Jewish nationalism was good because the world is bad.
My position is that Zionism is good. It is the desire of those Muslims and others who want to destroy Israel that is evil. Zionism is the belief that Jews have a right to live safely and as free men in their ancient homeland of Israel. Being anti-Zionist means you believe that Jews don't have that right including the Jews that live there already. It means being against the existence of the state of Israel.
Dr. Mijal Bitton explains Zionism is in the paragraph below:
According to many of the protesters, Zionism is a settler-colonialist Jewish supremacist movement akin to Nazism and dedicated to the displacement of Palestinians. But for most of us American Jews, Zionism is the belief that Jews have a right to self-determination in their historical homeland. At the heart of this Zionism is the security in having at least one place in the world that never closes its doors to displaced and oppressed Jews. This Zionism is dedicated to fighting for an Israel that is liberal and democratic and also holds hope for dignity, rights and freedoms for Palestinians.
Anita Friedman, a Zionist leader in the United States was shocked after seeing the hatred expressed by rioters on American campuses. She wrote that:
As the head of a large international Zionist organization, I can only be shocked that the centers of academia have become the centers of ignorance. Because what is “Zionism”? It is the aspiration that one country in the world be a safe place for Jews. But not only that: Zionism is the hope for a tolerant and accepting place, where a democratic, egalitarian, open society exists, an island of light and freedom in a region of oppression and violence.
Israel is a tiny home for Jews that have been persecuted all over the world. The following video shows Israel giving a new home to Jews fleeing antisemitism in France.
Arabs bent on destroying Israel even though the Muslims occupy land that is vastly greater than the tiny homeland of the Jews.
Instead of being able to work their farms and their businesses, Israeli fathers and sons have to go off to war to defend their tiny country against the vast Muslim world. In the video below a little boy tells what it is like trying to take care of the family farm while his father is defending Israel.
