1.3 Critical Race Theory, Diversity Equity and Inclusion
One of the ideas behind Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is that there should be an equitable number of people of different races in jobs and to achieve that employers should not hire based on merit but based on race. That is a nice sounding way of saying that employers should discriminate for blacks and against whites. This is totally counter to the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King. It is also dangerous. Elon Musk tweeted "People will die due to DEI". The event that led him to say this was the blowing out of a panel of a Boeing 737 in midair on January 6, 2024. In 2022 Boeing officially made DEI one of its goals. We can't be sure that hiring based on race and not merit caused the door to blow out of the plane but hiring people based on their race and not their competence makes such events more likely to happen. Are minorities safer as a result of Boeing discriminating against whites so that there are more minority employees at Boeing?

The New York Post reported on January 14, 2024 that the Federal Aviation Administration is actively recruiting workers who suffer “severe intellectual” disabilities, psychiatric problems and other mental and physical conditions under a diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the agency’s website. “Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the Federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis in recruitment and hiring,” the FAA’s website states. “They include hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability and dwarfism.” Psychiatric disability is a woke way of saying mental illness. This is dangerous because the FAA hires air traffic controllers the people who make sure that planes coming in for a landing or taking off don't crash into each other. Are minorities better off if their plane is more likely to crash because of discrimination against sane whites at the FAA?
Here is a parody song written by Brian Coyne based on a song by the Box Tops called My Pilot is a DEI Hire
Another problem with diversity initiatives is people are told not to hire whites. That can result in a shortage of people needed to do a job. That can be very serious in the case of a job such as air traffic control. In fact two collisions in early 2025 might have been the result of understaffed air traffic control. Vice president Vance spoke about this in a video. He said: "We have a massive shortage of air-traffic controllers and, in fact, there have been a number of lawsuits from people who would like to become air-traffic controllers against the Obama and Biden administration who basically said we were told not even to the apply because of the color of our skin, because they were white people who wanted to be air-traffic controllers, and under the DEI regime of the Biden administration, they weren't welcome.
The Babylon Bee made a funny but scary video about The Boeing airline company and diversity which is embedded below.
During the Biden administration the FBI discriminated against and purges conservatives from its ranks and goes after conservatives while doing little to investigate violent radical leftwing groups such as Antifa. Not only are the FBI's DEI hires anti-conservative they are incompetent as well. This at a time when the threats from strangers crossing America's borders was growing.
What if the requirements for entering medical school were dumbed down to achieve more equity? That's exactly what is happening. Medical schools are dropping the requirement that applicants take the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) to get in. One school, the University of Pennsylvania, only dropped the MCAT for black applicants. That's blatant discrimination and illegal. Are black patients better off with doctors and surgeons who passed the MCAT or who didn't?
UCLA medical school discriminates in a big way. As a result half of the medical students fail tests of basic medical competency. One former member of the admissions staff says that race-based admissions have turned UCLA into a "failed medical school," Some of these failing medical students have attitude problems. One professor said that a student in the operating room could not identify a major artery when asked, then berated the professor for putting her on the spot as if it's the professor's fault that she doesn't know. It's likely that attitudes like that are why the students are so poor to begin with. First-year students spend three to four hours every other week in a DEI course called "Structural Racism and Health Equity" which features antisemitic speakers and 7 hours a week on material has nothing to do with physiology or anatomy which they are failing to learn. Do we really want antisemitic doctors or surgeons who have attitude problems and don't know medicine but do know a lot of things that aren't true?
Discrimination on the basis of race is illegal whether it's for or against black people yet companies are also doing it.
One way companies and universities circumvent the law by lowering the bar. That's what Harvard did when it included "strength of character" ratings. Generally black children don't do as well as white children in math tests. One way schools can get more black kids to pass is to make the tests easier. That is called lowering the bar. That phrase comes from jumping over a bar in track. If the bar is low enough everyone will get over it but no one will learn to become a good jumper.

Thomas Sowell is a senior fellow at Stanford Universities prestigious Hoover Institution.

Thomas Sowell had this to say about lowering the bar.
If you want to see the poor remain poor, generation after generation, just keep the standards low in their schools and make excuses for their academic shortcomings and personal misbehavior. But please don't congratulate yourself on your compassion.
Lowering the bar is what a math curriculum that was proposed for California does.
In the video above it says that the proposed math curriculum frowns on thinking there is only one right answer. That's so that black kids won't be marked wrong if they get the wrong answer. If poorly performing black kids aren't marked wrong they will pass the tests and if the government discriminates in their favor they'll get the jobs. What happens if a black kid who only passed math because of easier tests becomes an engineer some day and calculates a different answer than the correct one for the amount of steel needed to hold up a bridge? What if that same engineer drove over that bridge some day and it collapsed because of errors in his calculations. Would he be better off or worse off than if he hadn't passed?
A group of educators from Wheelock College (a college to avoid) claim that “When Black female students are repeatedly disciplined for being social, loud, or goofy in the mathematics classroom, they experience mathematical violence.” They claim that “Black Feminist Mathematics” can help students “heal” from this trauma. Previously Casey Griffin, a professor at the University of Delaware (another place to avoid), proposed fixing math education by challenging its ‘masculine’ qualities. Griffin argues that women’s sense of belonging in math is hindered by values such as ‘objective’ and ‘rational thought.’ Math isn't masculine or feminine. It is based on rational and objective thought. Just because you want an answer to be different won't make it different. You can't get to the right answer by being irrational. That is not because of white racism, it is because math is math. So why do these educators at colleges spout this nonsense? Also why is there statement just about black female students? There are plenty of white male students who also disrupt math classes. Should they be disciplined or "healed" from trauma of being disciplined. What about the other students who want to learn? Why aren't these educators concerned about them. The main motivation of these "educators" is they want to blame white people for the bad behavior of black girls. If blacks fail they want white people to feel guilty and responsible. They don't want to face the reality that there is a problem in the black community that is not the white people's fault.
Critical Race Theory was discussed in the previous lesson. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is the way it was marketed. Diversity equity and inclusion all sound like wonderful goals we should all strive for but in reality DEI would be best described as Discrimination, Exclusion and Inequality. DEI is also a group of policies that are forced on to people. Many companies and universities won't hire you unless you fill out a DEI statement explaining how you will bring diversity, equity and inclusion to your job or university. Carol Swain explained that the purpose of requiring these statements is to keep conservatives out. Diversity of thought is the last thing the promoters of DEI want, because then people will be able to speak up against them.
CRT divides people into who they say are oppressed and oppressors. They designate black people, indigenous Americans and Muslims as oppressed people. They designate Christians and Jews as white oppressors. Equity is when "oppressed" people get jobs and opportunities regardless of their ability or knowlege so that there are more "oppressed" people in positions of power and so that more money flows to "oppressed" people. I put the word oppressed in quotes because I don't agree that they are oppressed, that is just who the DEI people say are oppressed. Equal opportunity is when people regardless of their race or religion or political affiliation have an equal chance at getting a job if they have the same ability and knowledge.
Equal opportunity is not the same as equity. Equal opportunity leads to some people earning more and achieving more than others since different people have different abilities and put different amounts of time in work. It leads to some ethnic groups being more successful than others because some cultures emphasize education and achievement more than others. For example, Asian high school and college students spend more time studying than any other group. The only way to get equity in colleges is to discriminate against the hard working achievers, in favor of groups that achieve less. Harvard University discriminated against Asians by changing their admission ratings to include "strength of character" and personal quality. They simply rated the character of Asians as inferior to the character of blacks which lowered their total admissions score. If accused of discrimination Harvard could say "No we didn't those blacks had higher scores on our admissions tests."
The New York Post told the story Stanley Zhong who was a near perfect college applicant. Out of the more than two million kids who take the SAT annually, he’s one of roughly 2,000 to score a 1590 or higher. His high school GPA was a 4.42 on a 4.0 scale. He even had an offer in hand to work a PhD level job at Google before graduating high school. Stanley, who intended to study computer science, also managed his own startup, e-document signature platform Rabbit-Sign, while still a high schooler. By anyone’s expectations the Palo Alto, Calif., teen should have been Harvard or MIT bound. And yet Stanley, was met with disappointment after disappointment in 2023 when college admissions letters started trickling in. His father sued for discrimination but didn't hire a lawyer because left wing lawyers were against him and right wing ones believed the courts were too biased to judge the case fairly.
The governor of Oregon Kate Brown signed a bill in July 2021 that removed the requirement for graduating high school children in the state to be good at reading, writing, and math, in an effort to aid “students of color.” Will that aid students of color or will the result be that fewer learn to read, write and do math? If they are unable to read write and do math the companies that are forced to hire them will be less productive and create less wealth. That means more poverty. In fact the companies that hire them won't be able to compete with companies abroad who didn't hire them and may go out of business. Then they won't create any wealth at all.
The CRT indoctrinators teach the opposite of what Martin Luther King taught. He wanted a colorblind society not one that discriminates against whites because of their color. He didn't want the bar to be lowered for anyone. He wanted blacks to overcome the highest bar of all. He once said:
“Keep feeling the need to be first. But, I want you to be first in love. I want you to be first in moral excellence. I want you to be first in generosity.”
Discrimination against whites is not moral excellence. It is not love. It is hatred against whites. Redistributing money from whites to blacks to achieve equity isn't generosity, it's greed and theft. DEI causes resentment among races. Everything about DEI is the opposite of what Dr. Martin Luther King wanted.
Equity costs a lot of money. Heather MacDonald explains how students have to pay high tuition to pay the salaries of equity administrators in the video below.
Critical Race Theorists say that anyone who isn't an anti-racist is a racist. In this case they would regard Dr. Carol Swain as racist because she doesn't support lowering the bar on math tests. If you don't do what they think is anti-racist, you are a racist from their point of view even if you are black.
Critical race theorists say that if whites have more money than blacks that is because of racism. What if a white person worked harder or worked more hours? What if he saved his money while the black person spent his?
Here is a clip of Ibram Kendi, a major proponent of equity, being interviewed about it.
In the beginning of the above video Ibram says that people who are racist insist that they're not, no matter if they're in the White House or planning the next mass shooting. Those words alone show a lot of what is wrong with Critical Race Theory. When he was talking about the White House he was referring to Donald Trump. Lumping Trump together with someone planning a mass shooting shows just how dangerous Critical Race Theory is. According to Critical Race Theory you're a racist if you're not an anti-racist and to be an anti-racist you have to oppose those who they say are racists. If they say Donald Trump is a racist, he is one, if they say he is like a mass shooter than he is like a mass shooter and if you don't agree you are a racist.
Christopher Rufo, in his book, America's Cultural Revolution talks about Ibram Kendi's proposal for a department of anti-racism (DOA) that can silence anyone who is not anti-racist and that can nullify any law that they decide isn't anti-racist. How do you think they would silence people? What about freedom of speech? The DOA would have the power to nullify any policy it decided would create inequity. Math tests create inequity. Hiring based on merit creates inequity. What would happen if you wanted to hire the best man for the job instead of the black woman for the job. The DOA could punish you. The DOA could punish you for what they say are racist ideas. So lets say one day you complain that your black boss is racist toward you. You could be accused of having racist ideas and punished for them.
Critical Race Theorists hate Trump because he took pride in America and American freedom and worked to strengthen America. Critical Race Theorists want to overthrow the system and take over America.
The interviewer Imani Perry is a black professor at Princeton University. She says that racism pervades every possible aspect of life and Ibram agreed with her. How did both Imani and Ibram become professors if the system was so racist?
Ibram Kendi says that any policy that results in inequity (fewer blacks than whites in a job) is a racist policy. If fewer black children pass math tests then math education must be racist. It's always the fault of white supremacists or the system and never the fault of the black people when they don't do well.
Ibram goes on to say that the most harmful racist idea was that of the broken black family. He means the idea that welfare was causing more black families to break up is racist. Welfare gives a single mother more money than a married mother who has a husband supporting her. That gives her a reason to stay single. That's not a racist idea, it's what happens. Every study done in the last 50 years shows that children without a father and a mother are more likely to turn to crime. Being a victim of a black criminal will in many cases cause a white person to become racist toward blacks.
Ibram Kendi has a problem. Many black people have said that welfare hurts black families. Ibram's solution? Call those blacks racist which is what he did in the video. The blacks who criticize welfare are not racist, they're right. When Ibram labels them racist he makes them a target of the anti-racists. People unfairly labeled as racists have been harassed and fired from their jobs. Those who still have jobs are afraid to speak the truth anymore. This fear to stand up to Critical Race Theorists has allowed them to become more and more powerful and more and more threatening to America.
In the video below, JP explains what Critical Race theory is by pretending to teach Critical Race Theory to a class of kids. He mentions Tony Robbins at the end of this clip of his video. Tony Robbins was a man who taught people how to help themselves become successful and have good lives. He taught that it was very important not to see yourself as a victim if you want to be a success. Critical Race Theory teaches blacks to see themselves as victims of whites.
Fallon Clark spoke about Critical Race Theory at a school board meeting in Hamilton county, Tennessee. The video follows.
Some of America's most caring and best teachers are quitting because of Critical Race Theory. Dana Plowe was a teacher who quit her job because of Critical Race Theory. She tried to have her school present alternative points of view but was not allowed to do so. America is changing from a free society where anyone can speak their mind to a totalitarian society where we are punished if we don't believe what the left wants us to believe. Dana Plowe talks about what happened to her school in the video below.
Kali Fontanilla also quit. She speaks about it below.
Critical Race Theorists believe in discrimination against whites in order to get equity and power. They don't believe in not seeing color as a way to judge people. In fact they say you are racist if you believe that. Martin Luther King didn't believe we should judge people by the color of their skin. They won't say it but Critical Race Theorists see Martin Luther King as a racist. They say that black lives matter but if you answer that "all lives matter" they say you are racist. Jessica Whitaker did that and was shot. Critical Race Theorists believe there should be black only spaces. Excluding one race from a space is called segregation and is what racist whites used to do in the South. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 says that you cannot treat one group of people differently based upon race. The black principal of the Mary Lin elementary school in Atlanta put white and black students in separate classes which is segregation and is illegal. It's not America that is systemically racist. It's people who segregate people because of their race who are racist. Critical Race Theory is the new racism that pretends to be against racism.
D.E.I. labels Jews as oppressors even though Jews are the most oppressed group in the world. According to Thomas Sowell many black people are jealous of the success of Jews and that's why they hate them. The number of Jews getting accepted into college and getting jobs has been dropping ever since D.E.I..

One would expect DEI which stands for diversity and inclusion to be supportive of including Jews. Is it?
