Why Concessions to Palestinians Don't Work
The Israeli left called Dov Shachar a racist when he warned that evicting settlers from Gush Gatif in Gaza would result in Hamas shooting rockets at Israel from Gush Katif. His prediction came true. Leftists all over America accuse people who disagree with their polices of being racist. Leftists in Israel defame those they disagree with in the same way as their American counterparts by falsely accusing those who speak the truth of racism.
Dov Shachar knew what Hamas would do because he knows Hamas, he knows the people of Gaza, he grew up there and was abused and tortured by them as a child because he didn't want to attack Jews. He speaks about what it was like growing up in Gaza in the previous lesson.
I disagree with one thing he said which is that the people who complain about the aid being stolen by Hamas are doing that as part of a Hamas plan. That makes no sense, why would Hamas complain about Hamas. I think it's more likely that no matter how brainwashed these people were to support Hamas they are angry that international aid that was meant for them is being taken away by Hamas.
