9.23 A Gaza History Lesson Part 2

One of the ancient Jewish towns of Gaza was called Kfar Darom.  In 1946, a kibbutz was founded there.  Kfar Darom had to be evacuated of Jews following an Egyptian siege in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.

The Palestinians say that the Jews drove them out of their land but in 1948 many fled before the surrounding Muslim countries attacked Israel after it declared independence.  Those Muslim countries warned the Muslim inhabitants of Israel to leave because otherwise they might be killed along with the Jewish inhabitants of Israel.  The Palestinians left because their fellow Muslims told them to leave not because Israel forced them to leave.  The Arabs who fled, fled to the West Bank and Gaza.

In 1948, after Israel declared independence, the soldiers of EgyptTransjordanSyriaLebanonIraqSaudi Arabia and Yemen attacked Israel.

In 1948, the Jordanian army, with the help of Iraq, drove out or killed over 10,000 Jews living in Judea and Samaria (also known as the West Bank) and occupied their communities.  This was the fourth Arab occupation of Israel.  Contrary to all expectations Israel survived the combined Arab attack.  The Arabs who had fled Israel became refugees in Judea and Samaria otherwise known as the West Bank.  Egypt attacked and Israel had to evacuate Kfar Darom an ancient Jewish city in the Gaza strip.  Egypt's initial attacks were successful and Egypt invaded the Negev desert but Israel pushed them back and encircled the Egyptian army in the Gaza strip.  Egypt was forced to withdraw and accepted a ceasefire.  On January 7, 1949 Egypt and Israel agreed to a truce and Israel withdrew from Gaza.  Egypt didn't grant citizenship to the residents of Gaza but instead governed them with military rule.  There was no fence between Gaza and Israel back then and residents of Gaza would often attack people in neighboring Jewish communities.  There were also Gazans who got along with Israelis.

When Israel became a country Arab countries all over the Middle East expelled their Jews.  Here is a video showing what happened to the Jewish populations of Arab countries.

The lands of the Jews in the Arab countries were invaded and occupied in the fifth Muslim occupation.

In 1967 the Arab countries surrounding Israel tried to annihilate her again.  Israel defeated them in six days and the war became known as the Six Day War.  In that war Israel took control of the Gaza strip.  In 1968, then–prime minister Yigal Allon proposed founding two Nahal settlements in the center of the Gaza Strip, which he viewed as vital for Israel's security in the area.  That area became known as Gush Katif.  During the first Intifada (1987–1990), the residents of Gush Katif were subject to frequent stoning of traffic.  During the al-Aqsa Intifada (2000–2005), Gush Katif was the target of thousands of attacks by Palestinian terrorists, as well as being the target of over 6,000 mortars and Qassam rockets launched into the settlements.

A 17 year old young man named Alexei "Lusha" Naikov who lived in the city of Kharkiv in Ukraine, bid his parents and brother a temporary goodbye and moved to Israel. He lived at first in a dormitory. He enrolled in the Technion. He was offered an academic deferment from military service until completing his studies but passed it up, preferring to join the army.  He was riding in a jeep whose job was to run interference for and guard a schoolbus full of elementary and pre-school Jewish children going to school in the "Gush Katif" area of the Gaza strip. He suddenly saw a car speeding right toward the children. As he had been trained to do, he had his jeep speed directly toward the car full of explosives and a Palestinian terrorist trying to blow up the school bus. His jeep rammed the car bomb, which exploded, killing Naikov and wounding two of his friends, soldiers in the jeep. By sacrificing his life, Naikov saved a bus full of Jewish children.  Unfortunately another time terrorists were successful in their attack on a schoolbus in Gaza.

In 2005 the Israeli government led by prime minister Ariel Sharon ordered the Israeli military to forcefully remove Israelis living in Gaza.   Sharon explained his reasons in a public address on August 15, 2005, the day of the disengagement, as follows: "It is no secret that, like many others, I had believed and hoped we could forever hold onto Netzarim and Kfar Darom. But the changing reality in the country, in the region, and the world, required of me a reassessment and change of positions. We cannot hold on to Gaza forever. More than a million Palestinians live there and double their number with each generation."  Ariel Sharon said that as a result of removing Israelis from Gaza, the United States would not for the forseeable future pressure Israel into participating in the "peace process" which meant creating a Palestinian state and flooding the country with hostile refugees, "with all the security risks that entails".  Sharon claimed that this was with the presidential blessing of George Bush and the ratification of both houses of Congress.  The United States is pressuring Israel to create a Palestinian state, that pressure has actually increased since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023.  The United States and much of the world appear to believe that creating a Palestinian state would bring peace.  This is wrong for many reasons that are explained in an article called The Four State Solution, the main one being that there are already four areas in which the Palestinians govern themselves, Gaza, the areas controlled by the Palestinian Authority, the country of Jordan and Israel and there is no peace.  Israel is included because Palestinian Arabs living there are citizens and have the same right to vote as the Jews do.

At the same time as Sharon gave his explanation, Shimon Peres, then Vice Prime Minister, stated in an interview that: "We are disengaging from Gaza because of demography".  The fear was that Israel could not remain a democracy if Gaza was included in Israel since the Palestinians would vote Israel out of existence.

Mati Shoshani, in the video below, says the reason Israel withdrew was to stop the terrorism from the people of Gaza against Israeli citizens.  I think it is likely that was also a reason but Sharon didn't want to admit on the day his government uprooted the Jews of Gaza because that would be an admission that Israel was running away from terrorism and would send a message to the Arabs that terrorism works.  They got that message anyway.

Despite the fact that there were no longer any Israelis occupying any part of Gaza,  Hamas terrorists invaded Israel 18 years later after Israel pulled all Israelis out and murdered entire communities on October 7, 2023.

Palestinians often say that the "Israeli occupation" is what they are fighting against but there no longer were any Israelis occupying any part of Gaza.  So why did they invade and massacre over a thousand people?  The answer is not politically correct and is an answer that Muslims don't want you to hear which is why you don't hear it.

We can answer that question by looking at the holy books of Islam, the speeches of Muslim holy men, and the Hamas charter.  According to the holy books of Islam the Jew is evil.  Saudi sheikh Abd al-Rahman al-Sudayyis, imam of the principal mosque in the holiest city in Islam, the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, has said in a sermon that Jews are

"the scum of the human race, the rats of the world, the violators of pacts and agreements, the murderers of the prophets, and the offspring of apes and pigs."

The belief that the Jew is evil was one reason that Arabs didn't want Jews immigrating to Palestine.  Just like the Mufti in the 1930s, Hamas doesn't want Arabs selling land to Jews.  They put into their charter that:

"The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) regards Palestine as an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future generations until Judgment Day. "

A waqf is a religious endowment bestowed by God.  The charter continued:

"neither it, nor any part of it, should be squandered: Neither it or any part of it should be given up.  Neither a single Arab country or all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor all the kings or presidents, neither any organization or all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right to do that.  Palestine is an Islamic waqf land consecrated for Muslim generations until Judgment day...  "

Not only were Arabs occupying Jewish land, they were preventing Jews from returning to their biblical homeland.

On March 2007, Hamas spokesman Ismail Radwan quoted a Hadith on Palestinian Television as follows:

The hour will not take place until the Muslims fight the Jews and the Muslims kill them, and the rock and the tree will say, "Oh Muslim, servant of God, there is a Jew behind me, kill him!

There are commands to fight the Jews in the Koran as well.  For example Qur'an 9:29 directs Muslims to fight the Jews until they pay tribute and are humbled.

That word humbled is very significant.  It is an Islamic obligation to fight the Jew until they are subjugated to Muslims.  An Israeli government that rules over Muslims is intolerable to Muslims.  The obligation to fight is not just an obligation to fight with guns.  Propaganda is one of the Palestinian weapons against Israel.  Muslims know that if they can turn the United States against Israel, the United States will stop supplying Israel with arms.

The Islamic propaganda war has been frighteningly successful. There were massive demonstrations against Israel around the world when Israel counter attacked after the Hamas massacres of October 7, 2023.   According to a Harvard/Harris poll , 51 percent of Americans ages 18–24 believe Hamas was justified in its brutal terrorist attacks on innocent Israeli citizens on October 7 2023.  The Palestinians oppress Israel in the most brutal way yet despite that, their propaganda has successfully convinced people across the world that Israel is the oppressor.

You might wonder why Islam portrays the Jews as being so evil?  Islam portrays all unbelievers as evil and doomed to hell.  This is typical of cults.  It is a method of keeping cult members in the cult.  It's a way cult leaders maintain their power in the cult.  If a member of the cult thinks those who don't believe are evil they will banish any doubts in their minds because they don't want to have evil doubts and go to hell.  They will avoid becoming friends with non-believers which means concerned non-believer friends will not be able to convince them to leave the cult. A consequence of convincing members of a religion that non-believers are evil is that it leads to wars with non-believers.  Islam's war with non-believers has resulted in hundreds of millions of Hindus and Christians being killed by Muslims.  Islamic intolerance of the unbeliever is the real cause of conflict between Hamas and Israel.  This is the real reason for the Hamas invasion of October 7, 2023.  This is the reason the Muslim countries surrounding Israel have tried repeatedly to destroy her.  This is also the reason that Muslims commit terrorism against the United States and all over the world.

Hamas is awful and the majority of Palestinians have been indoctrinated to hate Israel but there are very good Muslims who see through the propaganda and who love Israel.  To hear the testimony of one of them
